Kama received a scholarship attending Valley of the Moon (VOM) Scottish Fiddling School Camp studying fiddle and dance from August 22-30 outside Santa Cruz, California. Kama premiered her original Celtic/middle eastern reel Sharqi of Shetland at VOM on Saturday, August 23rd at 6pm at the Village Gathering and performed an Egyptian Saidi dance with Violinist Sammy on Wednesday, August 27th at 8pm at the Ceilidh Show. Kama also performed with the fiddle, cello, bass, piano and accordion “orchestra” of 250+ campers from memory in the all-camp concert at Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium at 7:30pm on August 29th, 2025.

After submitting an audition video Kama was selected to compete in the Local Rising Star Talent Contest. Performing her original fusion reel in her fun medley arrangement of Irish, Scottish and World Folkloric tunes earned her Audience Choice second place.

Premiered her original fiddle tune “Sharqi of Shetland” with a backup band at Julian Family Fiddle Camp on May 2nd, 2024. She is working with a producer in LA and will be releasing a track soon!
